Business Development Manager – B2B Support Services

Manchester area – IRO £35-£40k Year 1 + car and benefits

If you’re in B2B telesales, have enthusiasm to burn, and looking to break into your first field sales role and based around Manchester, I need to speak with you.


Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative B2B Facilities Management company based in Manchester. They lead with their contract cleaning service and offer a unique client guarantee that attracts a growing audience. They always want to try new ways of working and encourage their people to become fully engaged in what they do without the need for micro-management.

We will be pleased to provide our clients company name to qualified candidates at the end of the first screening telephone interview.


Reporting to the Group General Manager, your ultimate goal is to attract new customers to the business. You’ll grab prospective customers with your enthusiasm and curiosity to understand their business. You’ll generate interest by networking (that’s physical and social), looking for referrals, research, asking great questions and making sales appointments. You’ll build a steady pipeline of business that fuels further business growth and develops you a substantial career.

This is an organisation that encourages new ideas. You’ll be tasked to develop a toolbox of skills get you to where you need to be. You’ll not find yourself in a straightjacket, and you’ll be an important part of a team that works together for its success.


You’re probably in telesales and looking to spread your wings. You’ll certainly have experience dealing with B2B customers; know how a sales conversation goes, and eager to put it to the test face-to-face. You love a challenge and don’t enjoy tight boundaries. But at the same time, you are willing to assume responsibility and understand this is a direct sales role where you’re measured by the business you deliver. This is a meritocracy.

  • Are curious to get to the bottom of customer needs
  • Enjoy selling in a competitive landscape. You’re not an order-taker
  • Excellent formal and informal communication skills. That’s face-to-face, written and on the phone
  • You take ownership of your responsibilities
  • You embrace change – you probably thrive on it
  • You’re an active social networker, and probably know (or keen to learn) how to use LinkedIn to identify prospects and drive interest.


It’s a full time role that’s flexible so your accessible to your clients and prospects. You probably live around Manchester and ready to travel the North West on a daily/regular basis.


On Target Earnings are likely to be in the region of £35 -£40k in year 1 as you build a pipeline, including open-ended commission, a very good benefits package and a car allowance. Your second year will be stronger as you’ll now have a pipeline that will be delivering business constantly.


The first client interviews will be held in the Manchester in December/January. Before that will be screening interviews and meetings with Martin Ellis of the RSE Group.
