OUR CLIENT COMPANY
Our client is an established and successful full-service events agency on the Sussex coast that serves the UK and Europe. Their prime focus is live events, marketing events, summits, exhibition stand design and build, conference production and special builds and experiential. The winners in this sector will be those with the vision to turn technology into real and practical applications that deliver a different proposition in a busy market. They already have an impressive customer list of household brands.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for profitable revenue growth in all services. You’ll lead and manage the sales and account management teams already in place. You’ll direct, coach, manage and motivate them to meet their individual and company goals – with all that entails.
This role has many challenges to enthuse the right candidate. However, the 3 priorities are:
- A focus on team delivery: That’s not just on the outcomes, but the activity to get them there.
- Pitch creation: This is less about team, and more about what you can develop and deliver yourself.
- Business Development: This organisation is already good at growth, but doubling in size again will take decisive and experienced management.
This new role will be a highly visible and senior role in the organisation. It’s a big job that needs steady hands, a fast mind and gravitas.
You will be very experienced in the exhibitions and live events sector. You’ll have been part of something exciting in growth terms before, and looking for that buzz again – because you will be part of it. You will create it.

Our client company is already well led and has clear strategic intent, but they also need fresh ideas and experience to fuel further growth.
LOCATION & HOURS
Our client have new refurbished offices on the Sussex coast where’s there’s already an excellent working environment. But you’ll often be out with your team and travelling to meet clients. This will also involve international travel, mostly around Europe. Formally, It’s a 40 hour week, but likely to be more.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary is not cast in stone and depends on skills and experience, but likely earnings in year 1 will be £80-£85k for on-target performance.
INTERVIEW PROCESS AND STARTING DATE:
The first client interviews are likely to be held in December/January. Before that will be screening interviews and meetings with Martin Ellis of the RSE Group.
