Hours: 45 hrs per week 7.30-5.30 with 1 hr for lunch and Saturdays mornings on a rota basis based at 1.5 normal rate.

We are working with an outstanding client with sites across the UK. They are expanding and require an experienced HGV driver to join their team.

Responsibilities
Delivery of products to customers, with key accountability for ensuring the quality and timing of service is excellent. The role includes the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle. Maintains high standards of housekeeping and vehicle cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all legal and security requirements.
Loads vehicle, checking all relevant goods are loaded and organised to maximise efficiency at delivery sites
Ensures the vehicle is loaded safely within weight limits
Delivers the correct products and quantity of goods to the customer at the right time and place
Ensures correct paperwork is available, both for the customer and the company, involving proof of deliveries, cash on deliveries by following Financial Management Policies and Procedures and goods transferred to other branches.
Ensures all policy and procedures are followed including recording deliveries on delivery sheets
Assists within the branch with other picking, packing and loading as required
To undertake any other duties or responsibilities as may be required from time to time
Requirements
Driving Qualification: Category C licence required
Literacy and numeracy: Confident in working with and able to interpret numerical and written information.
Systems (IT & Administrative): Competent in the use of branch based computer packages to meet customer needs. Knowledge of company administrative procedures.
Health and Safety: Knowledge of the company health and safety procedures.
Sales Techniques: Knowledge of counter and telephone sales techniques including proactive sales, negotiation, merchandising and maximising margin.
Product Knowledge: Specific knowledge of products sold within your sector.
HIAB Knowledge: Certificate Preferable
