This international and innovative Swedish software company are expanding their UK operations and need a Regional Sales Manager to open doors to new markets. You’ll be looking for a chance to stand on your own two feet and grasp a substantial career opportunity.

OUR CLIENT COMPANY

Our client is a Swedish software company with operations in Northern Europe, the USA and Canada, and sales to 50 countries. They also have a small (but expanding) UK business, and want to establish something more substantial to drive growth faster. This is an organisation that’s low on hierarchy and micro-management, but high on energy, cooperation, responsibility and curiosity. Curiosity is part of their DNA.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Director of Global Sales, you will drive new sales and develop existing accounts further in the UK. The UK already has a customer base, but the market opportunity is substantial and under-developed, so your job is to bring focus and action to bear on your prime target markets. You will have marketing support, but you’ll also build your own pipeline of new accounts and become the public face of the brand.

While we don’t want to run ahead of ourselves, success will bring new personal career opportunities. Be sure that the company is a meritocracy and will want to develop people that deliver results and share their values of energy, cooperation, responsibility and curiosity.

THE CANDIDATE

You understand how to make solution-based sales and how to convert benefits into value and have the track record to prove it. Much of that experience is likely to be in software sales, preferably SaaS and Cloud Services. You’ll be used to selling across many sectors, but probably with a bias towards SME’s. You thoroughly enjoy selling to people whether they hold the commercial decision or the technical influence. You can listen to both audiences and put them at their ease.

  • You embrace change – you probably thrive on it

LOCATION & HOURS

You will work from you home office and based centrally in the UK with easy access to the motorway network. This role will include some overnight stays. It’s a 40-hour week with flexibility built in to be available to meet customers and prospects.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

On Target Earnings are likely to be in the region of £65,000 – £75,000 in year 1, including open-ended commission, a very good benefits package and a car allowance.

INTERVIEW PROCESS AND STARTING DATE:

The first client interviews will be held in the UK in late October/early November. Before that will be screening interviews and meetings with Martin Ellis of the RSE Group.
