OUR CLIENT COMPANY
Our client is a highly successful national support services company with a grown-up thirst for further expansion. Their headquarters are in London, but they also have 3 more regional offices so they are close to their markets. They have four trading divisions that share common target sectors and routes to market.
We will be pleased to provide our clients company name to qualified candidates at the end of the first screening telephone interview.
STAGE 1 – You will work like stink to build a substantial pipeline on business. This early work will form the foundation for your long-term success.
STAGE 2 – You’ll work your socks off to convert that pipeline, and keep topping it up with new prospects.
We need to be up front here. No sales job at this level, and with this degree of strategic importance, is going to go to somebody who expects things to be any different, but it needs to be said. Clarity of purpose is a must.
You’ll be weaving proposals and bids together that align the company’s trading entities. These can be complex and bespoke, but you can turn them into something compelling and commercial. The commerciality of this role will be reflected in the earning opportunity outlined below.
You’ll be dealing with clients with a mix of influencers and decision makers. Those clients need to be motivated to see their interests being met, while they regard you as somebody who does what they say they will do.
Challenging? Of course! But if it were easy, everybody would be doing it. And you’re not “everybody”.
This is a role for somebody who is committed to the sales concepts of value-adding and solutions. This is 99.9% new sales, and you will have very deliberate skills to influence, engage and encourage professional
and senior people to your way of thinking.
You may have been tempted to tattoo “Organisation” and “self-responsibility” down your forearms, but common sense put an end to that. After all, you’re a pragmatist too.
