So this December, we have decided to join forces with Swan Staffing and create our very own reverse advent calendar in the forms of a #ChristmasCrate.

Everyday the team here in the office are bringing in new items from the shopping list as requested by Hastings Food Bank. Here’s our collection just 6 days in! 🙂

We have chosen Hastings Food Bank as our charity to receive our Christmas Crate this year for a number of reasons.

“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.”

“We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.”

In 2015/16, The Trussell Trust’s Foodbank Network provided 1,109,309 three-day emergency food supplies and support to UK people in crisis. Of these, over 400,000 went to children.

It is such a small gesture for us all to spare a few pounds to buy a few items of their list and change the lives of those around us, especially at Christmas Time.

If you would like to donate anything to Hastings Food Bank – their collection points are:

Tesco Extra, Church Wood Drive, St. Leonards On Sea, TN289RB – Mon 06:00-00:00, Tue-Sat 24 hours, Sun 10:00-16:00

The Hastings Centre, 09.00 – 17.00, In reception.

We will share with you our progress between now and the 20th of December, so check back for updates!

Thank you.
