The September 2015 Jobs Outlook Report is out…..
The September Jobs Outlook report has now been published.
The REC’s Jobs Outlook publication surveys a representative sample of employers every month about their short and medium-term plans for hiring permanent and temporary staff. The report features original survey data which provides a comprehensive monthly picture of permanent and temporary recruitment, vacancies, and earnings in all regions and sectors of the UK labour market.
The latest figures show that:-
- 94% of employers know that they either have no workforce surplus or that the little capacity they have may be insufficient to accommodate any form of increase in demand.
- Employers anticipate professional and managerial skills to be in short supply to fill both permanent (11%) and temporary (10%) roles over the next year.
- 98% of hirers plan to hold or increase agency worker levels in both the short and the medium term.
- The proportion of employers (48%) which have moved at least one temporary worker to permanent status in the last year is steadily increasing.
